Origin is led by student facilitators who apply into that position and are mentored by the facilitators before them.
Staff works closely with the facilitators to prepare them for their leadership role and ensure that they are comfortable and building on their skills.
100% of facilitators in our program report increased confidence in project management, public speaking, and leadership skills.
Project
Based
The purpose of ORIGIN is to give the students the tools to dream, design, and implement a civic project on their own.
These projects are designed to use the youth voice & mind to identify gaps in the community that may be overlooked.
These projects are designed using the SMART Goal format (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Timely).

Youth, For The Youth
Origin is entirely youth-run, each projects is designed and implemented by the youth.
After each year’s 3 sessions, feedback focus groups are hosted to ensure that the programming aligns with the youth’s vision for Origin.
